Bank calls on the Iraqi Government to change the policy of the Central Bank" This
is interesting...since the World Bank has always asked the GOI to stay out of
the CBI business. Now they are asking the GOI to get involved? Hmmm. I would think if the
CBI is persuing wrong monetary policy the IMF would have something to
say. Something does not add up here. I don't think the World Bank could make such a
statement since compliance and monetary policy are really under the IMF. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
